Meandering south
After the good winds of Biscay and the crazy winds from Corunna we have spent a recuperating three days in a small Spanish fishing village, called Camarinas. We may have out stayed our welcome as the winds have now died away, and it looks as if the next four or five days are going to be under "iron topsail". While Bisacy is good for crossing northwards we are now sitting in the middle or the eye of a hole in the winds. Hey, ho, the sun is shining, the boat jobs list diminishes by the hour and "me time" is high. James is doing sterling work! Thank goodness diesel is relatively cheap!

Oh, I so hope John bought that hat. :) xx
ReplyDeleteNo, J, step away from the hat...
ReplyDeleteGood old James. Life would be very different without his help n'est ce pas? Ours tends to throw teddy out of the pram in heavy seas but otherwise a joy to have along.
Have a great time. xx
Hi Laros, your trip sounds good, just picked you up on Boat Watch heading for Bayona. I am in Kinsale waiting for the next race which starts tommoow at noon to Treguier. A straight 266nm but little wind at the moment, it took 60hrs to get here and that was 265nm!! House purchase in the Wirral should be completed by July!! Everyone all excited. FB off to Dublin as soon as we back from this race. Keep having a good time, nice to see the sextant out!!!! Regards Jonty
ReplyDeleteWhat fun. Wine looks good, but I'd put that hat back on the rack Johnny you wouldn't want to look like a pommy tourist.
